The Hawai‘i Department of Transportation announced weekly lane closures for Jan. 28 to Feb. 3. Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather permitting.

— VOLCANO ROAD/MĀMALAHOA HIGHWAY (ROUTE 11) —

BETWEEN HILO AND KEAAU (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Volcano Road (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 3 and 6, E. Palai Street and vicinity of Kipimana Street, on Saturday, Jan. 28, and Sunday, Jan. 29, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. for vegetation cutting.

NORTH OF PAHALA

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 42 and 44, on Monday, Jan. 30, through Friday, Feb. 3, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. for vegetation cutting.

HŌNAUNAU TO CAPTAIN COOK (WEEKEND WORK)

Single lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 11) possible in either direction between mile markers 105 and 109, vicinity of Filipino Clubhouse Road to vicinity of Kiloa Road, on Saturday, Jan. 28, and Sunday, Jan. 29, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. for vegetation cutting.

Single lane closure on Kohala Mountain Road (Route 250) possible in either direction between mile markers 0 and 6, Kawaihae Road and vicinity of the Koaiʻa Tree Sanctuary, on Saturday, Jan. 28, and Sunday, Jan. 29, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. for vegetation cutting.

KOHALA

Single lane closure on Kohala Mountain Road (Route 250) possible in either direction between mile markers 2 and 9, past the Kohala Ranch Road, on Monday, Jan. 30, through Friday, Feb. 3, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for shoulder work and tree trimming.
