Kona Mālama ʻOhana Health Fair Taking Place This Afternoon
Hawaiʻi Island Community Health Center is hosting the Kona Mālama ʻOhana Health Fair from 2-6 p.m. today, Saturday, Aug. 20. This family-friendly event will be hosted by Da Braddahs and feature live entertainment, fun games and giveaways, free COVID-19 testing and vaccines, and opportunities to talk story with local medical and social service providers.
Mālama ʻOhana Health Fair is at the Kealakehe Pavilion, 74-5214 Keanalehu Dr. in Kailua-Kona.
Organized by the Hawaiʻi State Department of Health and community-based organizations, the goal of Kona Mālama ʻOhana Health Fair is to share information about health and Covid-19 while also getting the community out to enjoy a fun afternoon together.
“It’s been a long pandemic, but this is an opportunity for folks to get together, receive valuable health information, get their Covid questions answered, and have a good time,” said Tellie Matagi of the Hawaiʻi State Department of Health.
The Mālama ʻOhana Health Fair will include free vision tests, blood pressure screening, glucose checks, free bento, gas card giveaways, keiki slipper giveaways, Free COVID-19 testing and vaccines, and more provided by the following organizations:
