Weekly Update: 107 New COVID Cases Reported on Hawaiʻi Island
The state Department of Health reported 1,092 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday, bringing the statewide total to 238,764. Fourteen new fatalities were reported.
A total of 107 new infections were identified Wednesday on the Big Island. A map documenting new cases by district throughout all islands can be accessed at the DOH website.
The island-by-island case count is as follows:
O‘ahu: 165,272
Hawaiʻi: 26,089
Maui: 28,222
Kaua‘i: 11,692
Moloka‘i: 941
Lana‘i: 629
Pending: 0
Out-of-State: 5,919
Of those total cases, 8,396 required hospitalization with 61 currently hospitalized. At least 1,368 have died since the pandemic began. Hospitalization data is updated Monday through Friday, except on state and federal holidays.
