8 Deaths, 375 New Cases Reported Saturday

The state Department of Health reported 375 new COVID-19 cases Saturday, bringing the statewide total to 234,015. Eight new fatalities were reported.

A total of 58 new infections were identified Saturday on the Big Island. On Friday, The DOH reported 1,166 active cases, and 18 persons hospitalized.

Testing for today, Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Hilo at Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium, in South Kohala at Waimea District Park, and in North Kona at Old Kona Airport Pavilion.

A total of 8,136 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 1,300 have died.
