DOH Reports 375 New COVID Infections on Hawaiʻi Island

The state Department of Health reported 2,380 new COVID-19 cases Thursday, bringing the statewide total to 211,267. Ten new fatalities were reported.

A total of 375 new infections were identified Thursday on the Big Island. The Civil Defense reports 5,386 active cases, and 43 persons hospitalized.

Today, Thursday, Community Testing is scheduled in Hilo at Afook Chinen Civic Auditorium from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., in Ka`ū at Pāhala Community Center from noon to 2 p.m., and at Nā`ālehu Community Center from 3-5 p.m.

A total of 7,406 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 1,159 have died.
