Big Island Lands 408 New COVID Cases Saturday

The Hawaiʻi Department of Health reported 4,204 new COVID-19 cases Saturday, bringing the statewide total to 138,646. One new fatality was reported.

A total of 408 new infections were identified Saturday on the Big Island. The Hawaiʻi County Civil Defense Agency reports 3,019 active cases, and 26 persons hospitalized.

A total of 5,361 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 1,102 have died.
