Mountain View Man Arrested After 8 Months on Lam

Hawai’i County Prosecuting Attorney Kelden Waltjen announced on Tuesday, Dec. 21 that a Mountain View man, 28-year-old Isaac Anthony Makoa Rosa, was apprehended by Special Enforcement Unit officers after eight months on the run.

Rosa, who was paroled in 2020, was wanted on an April 2021 Hawai’i Paroling Authority parole violations warrant and in relation to other active felony investigations. Rosa is being held without bail and has been returned to custody pending hearing on his parole violations.

Rosa has 10 prior felony convictions, including convictions for first-degree burglary, third-degree, promoting a dangerous drug, and prohibited acts related to drug paraphernalia, and three convictions each of unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle and second-degree theft.

Rosa’s arrest was the result of a coordinated effort by detectives Keith Simeona and John Balberde and officers Michael Sailer, Sheldon Adviento, and Christopher Fukumoto, Special Enforcement Unit, Area I Criminal Investigation Section.
