13 New COVID Cases Confirmed on Big Island
The Hawaiʻi Department of Health reported 143 new COVID-19 cases Thursday, bringing the statewide total to 88,655. One new COVID-related fatality was reported.
A total of 13 new infections were identified on the Big Island. Hawaiʻi County Civil Defense Agency reports 148 active cases and three persons hospitalized.
The state’s seven-day average is now 92 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 1.4%.

A total of 5,100 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 1,040 have died.
