14 New COVID Cases Reported on Big Island
The Hawaiʻi Department of Health reported 125 new COVID-19 cases Friday, bringing the statewide total to 88,023. One new COVID-related fatality was reported.
A total of 14 new infections were identified on the Big Island Friday. Hawaiʻi County Civil Defense Agency reports 181 active cases, and two persons hospitalized.
The state’s seven-day average is now 94 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 1.4%. A map documenting new cases by district throughout all islands can be accessed at the DOH website.

Out-of-State: 2,937
A total of 5,055 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 1,028 have died.
