Hawaiʻi Island Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating vehicles which were removed from the DLNR Forest and Wildlife Division baseyard in Hilo in the late evening of Nov. 23, 2021.

Between the hours of 9 pm Tuesday and 6 am Wednesday, unknown suspects cut the front gate padlocks at the DLNR Forest and Wildlife Division in Hilo. The suspects then forcefully entered the office area and removed numerous sets of vehicle and ATV keys.

The suspects then removed two State of Hawai´i vehicles: a 2007 gold Toyota pickup truck and a silver 2018 Ford F-350 pickup truck towing a black Great Northern tilt trailer, which was carrying a 2016 dark green Polaris Ranger UTV.

On Wednesday, at approximately 9:45 a.m., officers assigned to the Special Enforcement Unit located the pickup at a private residence on Plumeria Street in Mountain View.
