The Hawaiʻi Department of Health reported 134 new COVID-19 cases Sunday, bringing the statewide total to 85,045. Twelve new COVID-related fatalities were reported.

A total of 26 new infections were identified on the Big Island Sunday.

The state’s seven-day average is now 94 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 1.6%.

The island-by-island case count is as follows:

O‘ahu: 58,284
Hawai‘i: 11,241
Maui: 9,627
Kaua‘i: 2,743
Moloka‘i: 243
Lana‘i: 144
Pending: 0
Out-of-State: 2,763

A total of 4,825 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 962 have died.
