DOH Reports 176 New Cases Statewide

The Hawaiʻi Department of Health reported 176 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday, bringing the statewide total to 84,578. Three new COVID-related fatalities were reported.

A total of 21 new infections were identified on the Big Island Wednesday

Hawaii County Civil Defense Agency reported 376 active cases, and 17 persons hospitalized.

The state’s seven-day average is now 108 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 1.7%.

The island-by-island case count is as follows:

O‘ahu: 58,058
Hawai‘i: 11,143
Maui: 9,572
Kaua‘i: 2,691
Moloka‘i: 242
Lana‘i: 144
Pending: 0
Out-of-State: 2,728

A total of 4,766 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 919 have died.
