Crash Closes Big Island Road Friday Morning

UPDATE: As of 10 am Friday, the highway has been reopened to all traffic.
The Hawai´i Police Department reports that Highway 190 is closed between Waimea and the Waikoloa Road junction due to a vehicle crash.
Hawai´i County Civil Defense announced the closure just after 6 am Friday morning, Oct. 29. There is no immediate timetable for when the roadway will repoen.
Motorists are advised to detour through Kawaihae Road and Waikoloa Road until further notice.
