Halloween ‘Trunk or Treat’ Drive Thru Parade
The Penn Hawaii Youth Foundation and the Penn Family plan to present the second annual Trunk or Treat Drive Thru Parade happening Saturday, Oct. 30 from 3 pm to 6 pm at 777 Kino´ole Street in Hilo, aka Hilo lanes. All are invited to join as participants, and those able are asked to contribute by offering their vehicles to be part of the parade and/or donating treats for the many families driving thru the maze of Halloween wishers.
Decorated cars, suvs, vans and trucks will remain stationary in a selected space. For health, safety, and social distancing, participants are not allowed to reach out or touch those in the drive thru vehicles. Treats must be packaged and or store bought. A fish net to pass treats to vehicles will be provide to you. Face masks are mandatory.
Registration forms will be accepted up until the day before the event. Selection of location is on first serve basis. Participants must be in their selected space by 2 pm. The parade will commence promptly at 3 pm.
For contests, participants will be judged on the best presentation, use of their vehicles, and Halloween theme. Everyone is encouraged to embrace the Halloween spirit by decorating vehicles and wearing Halloween costumes for the many families coming thru.
First, second and third prizes will be announced for each division for best car, best SUV or van, and best truck.
