49 New COVID Cases Reported on the Big Island
The Hawaiʻi Department of Health reported 196 new COVID-19 cases Saturday, bringing the statewide total to 81,283. Four new COVID-related fatalities were reported.
A total of 49 new infections were identified on the Big Island Saturday.
The state’s seven-day average is now 189 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 2.8%. A map documenting new cases by district across all islands can be accessed at the DOH website.
The island-by-island case count is as follows:

Maui: 9,257
Kaua‘i: 2,389
Moloka‘i: 233
Lana‘i: 140
Pending: 0
Out-of-State: 2,497
A total of 4,487 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 837 have died.
