Authorities seek the public’s help locating a Hilo man who was reported missing.

Eighteen-year-old Traycen Birchland-Mecado was last seen in June 2021, in the 800 block of Uilani Place in Hilo. He is described as Caucasian, 6 feet 2 inches tall, 220 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He is known to frequent the Hilo and Puna areas.

Hawaiʻi Police ask anyone with information on Birchland-Mercado’s whereabouts to call the police department’s non-emergency line at 808-935-3311 or contact Officer Jerome Duarte at 808-961-2211 or jerome.duarte@hawaiicounty.gov.
