34 New COVID-19 Cases Reported on Hawaiʻi Island
The Hawaiʻi Department of Health reported 168 new COVID-19 cases Wednesday, bringing the statewide total to 80,582. Seven new COVID-related fatalities were reported.
A total of 34 new infections were identified on the Big Island Wednesday.
The state’s two-week average is now 229 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 3.3%. A map documenting new cases by district across all islands can be accessed at the DOH website.
The island-by-island case count is as follows:
O‘ahu: 55,921

Maui: 9,192
Kaua‘i: 2,345
Moloka‘i: 232
Lana‘i: 139
Pending: 0
Out-of-State: 2,455
A total of 4,422 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 818 have died.
