The Hawaiʻi Department of Health reported 735 new COVID-19 cases Sunday, bringing the statewide total to 71,891. Seven new COVID-related deaths were reported.

A total of 111 new infections were identified on the Big Island Sunday.

The state’s two-week average is now 604 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 7.1%. A map documenting new cases by district across all islands can be accessed at the DOH website.

The island-by-island case count is as follows:

Moloka‘i: 175
Lana‘i: 137
Pending: 0
Out-of-State: 2,262

A total of 3,848 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 660 have died.
