UPDATE: Hawai‘i police report that the technical issues affecting its communications center and 911 call system have been fully resolved.

ORIGINAL POST
The 911 call system has been partially restored after a technical issue was reported this morning.

According to Hawai‘i Police, the call center is operational to receive calls from landlines and cellphones with the exception of those who use Verizon as a service provider.

People who have Verizon as a service carrier should continue to call the police department’s non-emergency line at 808-935-3311 in the event they experience an emergency.
