Hawai‘i Reports Three New COVID Deaths Friday
The Hawai‘i Department of Health reported 44 new cases of coronavirus Friday. The statewide total is now 37,214. Three new COVID-related deaths were reported.
Six new infections were identified on the Big Island Friday. The state’s two-week average is 43 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 0.9%.

The island-by-island case count is as follows:
O‘ahu: 26,803
Maui: 3,813
Hawai‘i: 3,094
Kaua‘i: 340
Lana‘i: 112
Moloka‘i: 55
Pending: 0
Out-of-State: 1,258
A total of 2,411 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 510 have died.
To date, a total of 1,637,582 doses of vaccine have been administered statewide.
