Eight New Infections Noted on Big Island
The Hawai‘i Department of Health reported 37 new cases of coronavirus Tuesday. The statewide total is now 37,104. No new COVID-related deaths were reported.
Eight new infections were identified on the Big Island Tuesday. The state’s two-week average is 51 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 1.0%.

O‘ahu: 26,744
Maui: 3,796
Hawai‘i: 3,084
Kaua‘i: 334
Lana‘i: 112
Moloka‘i: 55
Pending: 0
Out-of-State: 1,250
A total of 2,390 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 506 have died.
To date, a total of 1,615,402 doses of vaccine have been administered statewide.
