56 New Infections Identified Across Hawai‘i

The Hawai‘i Department of Health reported 56 new cases of coronavirus Monday. The statewide total is now 37,076. No new COVID-related deaths were reported.

Four new infections were identified on the Big Island Monday. The state’s two-week average is 51 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 1.0%.

The island-by-island case count is as follows:

Hawai‘i: 3,076
Kaua‘i: 332
Lana‘i: 112
Moloka‘i: 55
Pending: 0
Out-of-State: 1,247

A total of 2,384 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 506 have died.

To date, a total of 1,610,827 doses of vaccine have been administered statewide.
