104 New COVID-19 Cases Reported Statewide

The Hawai‘i Department of Health reported 104 new cases of coronavirus Saturday. The statewide total is now 36,975. No new COVID-related deaths were reported.

Forty-six new cases of the virus were identified on the Big Island Saturday, much of which is tied to the ongoing outbreak at HCCC. The state’s two-week average is 56 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 1%.

A DOH map that tracks cases by district across all islands can be accessed on the department’s website.

The island-by-island case count is as follows:

A total of 2,381 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 506 have died.
