HPD Continues Search For Teen Runaway

Jason Oharra, a 13-year-old on the Big Island, has been reported as a runaway.

Hawaii County Police initially received a runaway report on Oharra in early March 2021. He was last seen in the area of Kahala Street in Puna on May 21, 2021. Oharra may also be in the area of Pahoa Road in Nanawale. 

He is described as 5-feet, 6-inches tall, weighing 130 to 150 pounds, with a fair complexion, short light brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing black and teal shorts, a blue and grey t-shirt, and black shoes.

Police ask anyone with information on his whereabouts to call the department’s non-emergency line at (808) 935-3311, or contact Officer Corey Kaneko at (808) 961-8843 or via email at corey.kaneko@hawaiicounty.gov.

Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call the island-wide Crime Stoppers number at 961-8300 and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000. Crime Stoppers does not record calls or subscribe to any Caller ID service. All Crime Stoppers information is kept confidential.
