The number of positive COVID-19 cases among inmates at Hawai‘i Community Correctional Center (HCCC) has remained unchanged at 99, authorities confirmed Friday afternoon.

According to the Department of Public Safety (PSD), two inmate test results were received as part of the mass testing effort underway at the facility. One was negative and one was inconclusive and will be re-tested. Additionally, PSD reported the number of active cases among jail staff has dropped from 13 to 10.
