Hawaii Reports 80 New COVID Cases Thursday
The Hawai‘i Department of Health reported 80 new cases of coronavirus Thursday. The statewide total is now 35,665. No new COVID-related deaths were reported.
Three new cases of the virus were identified on the Big Island Thursday, per DOH statistics. The state’s two-week average is 80 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 1.5%.

The island-by-island case count is as follows:
O‘ahu: 26,030
Maui: 3,585
Hawai‘i: 2,773
Kaua‘i: 310
Lana‘i: 112
Moloka‘i: 49
Pending: 0
Out-of-State: 1,147
A total of 2,279 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 492 have died.
To date, a total of 1,426,107 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered statewide.
