DOH Identifies 76 New COVID Infections Thursday

The Hawai‘i Department of Health reported 76 new cases of coronavirus on Thursday. The statewide total is now 33,450. No new COVID-related deaths were reported.

Seven new cases of the virus were identified on the Big Island Thursday, per DOH statistics. The state’s two-week average is 71 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate with 1.3%.

A total of 2,201 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 489 have died.
