DOH Reports 91 New COVID-19 Cases Statewide

The Hawai‘i Department of Health reported 91 new cases of coronavirus on Saturday. The statewide total is now 33,126. One new COVID-related death was reported.

Six new cases of the virus were identified on the Big Island Saturday, per DOH statistics. The state’s two-week average is 89 new cases daily, with a test positivity rate of 1.6%.

Most of the active cases on the Big Island remain located in the Kailua-Kona and Hilo areas. A DOH map that tracks cases by district across all islands can be accessed on the department’s website.

The island-by-island case count is as follows:

A total of 2,181 individuals have been hospitalized as a result of COVID-19 infection since the pandemic began, while at least 487 have died.
