Big Island communities continue to struggle due to the economic fallout from the COVID-19 pandemic. To help address those needs, Kona Mauka Rotary is planning a food drive in South Kona over the weekend.

The Rotary Club will pair up with The Food Basket to collect canned goods on Saturday, April 24 from 9 am to noon. The groups will accept both canned food and monetary donations.

Those interested in donating may do so by visiting Randy’s Huli Chicken and Ribs in Kealakekua. This is a drive-through event and, as such, donors are asked to stay within their vehicles. Standard COVID-19 protocol of wearing face coverings and keeping six feet of distance between others when possible will be practiced.
