COVID-19 testing is available in three districts today, April 10.

The first is scheduled in Hilo at the Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium from 8 a.m. to noon. The third is in North Kona at the West Hawai‘i Civic Center from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The third is this afternoon in Puna at Kea‘au High School from 1 to 5 p.m.

The Department of Health is monitoring 143 active cases in Hawai‘i County; there are 12 new cases reported today with four persons hospitalized. As coronavirus continues to be a threat to the community, county officials say, it’s important that residents and visitors continue to follow the preventive policies of face coverings, distancing, and limiting gathering sizes to no more than 10 people indoors and 25 people outdoors to stop the spread.
