Submission Period Open for MIHFF
The submission period has opened for the second annual Made in Hawai‘i Film Festival (MIHFF), happening on Hawai‘i Island in June 2019.
The independent film festival brings a weekend long lineup of Hawai‘i-made content to the Hilo Palace Theater on June 1 and 2, with a follow up “Best of Fest” evening at Kona’s Aloha Theater on June 14.
Submissions open Friday, Feb. 1, and runs through March 15. Categories include feature-length and short narrative films, documentaries, music videos and web series. To qualify, projects must have at least 50% of the principal photography shot within the State of Hawai‘i, completed no earlier than January 2016.
“We’re thrilled to be bringing the festival back to Hawai‘i Island for a full weekend run, plus a follow up in South Kona,” said festival Executive Director Zoe Eisenberg. “We can’t wait to see what Hawai‘i-based filmmakers have been working on this past year.”
Submissions must go through Without a Box, and filmmakers can find more information online or on Facebook,
