Looking Ahead

Moderate to breezy trade winds will persist during the next few days, dropping slightly on Monday. Stable and somewhat dry conditions will build over the islands from the east today, leading to a decrease in windward rainfall and dry weather over leeward areas. Hurricane Hector will cross the region sometime early Wednesday into Thursday, though it remains too early to determine precise impacts on island weather at this time. Hector will likely clear the region by Friday, with typical summertime trade wind weather heading into next weekend.
