Structure Fire in Orchidland

The Hawai‘i County Fire Department responded to a structure fire on 37th Avenue that was to the left of Auli‘i Street in Orchidland on Tuesday, July 31, 2018.
Upon arrival, firefighters found a single story structure with heavy smoke and flames showing from the rear window area of the structure. The fire was extinguished by using a pre-connect hose line and water from Engine 18 and Tanker 10. No one was home at time of the fire.
Damages have not been determined at this time and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
