Ku‘ikahi Mediation Center Elects New Board Members

East Hawai‘i natives and Hilo High School graduates James “Jimi” Kunimura and Sandra Tokuuke were recently elected to the board of directors of the nonprofit Ku‘ikahi Mediation Center.

Kunimura holds a BS in Business Administration from Oregon State University and an MBA and JD from Willamette University. He works as an associate attorney for the law firm of Nakamoto, Okamoto & Yamamoto and is vice president of the Hawai‘i County Bar Association.

Tokuuke holds a BA in Education from UH Mānoa and is a vice president and senior financial advisor at Merrill Lynch. She serves on the boards of UH Hilo Alumni & Friends Association, UH Hilo Performing Arts Center Advisory Committee, YWCA of Hawai‘i Island and Aloha Exchange Club of East Hawai‘i.

Also on the Ku‘ikahi board are President Doug Adams, Vice President Jennifer Zelko-Schlueter, Treasurer Twylla Baptiste, Secretary Julie Hugo, and Directors Aaron Brown, Jeri Gertz, Jennifer Ng, Sherilyn Tavares and Andy Wilson.
