4 Arrested in Kamuela Drug Bust
Area II Vice officers and Special Enforcement Unit officers executed a search warrant at a residence off Pu‘u Pohu Place in Kamuela on Wednesday, July 11, 2018, at approximately 8 a.m.
Officers recovered 51 grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine, 9 grams of marijuana, a digital scale, empty zip-packets and a loaded 40 caliber pistol.
As a result, officers arrested 42-year-old Stacey Veincent of Kamuela, 24-year-old Mokihana Veincent (Luis) of Kamuela, 56-year-old Larry Luis of Puna and 35-year-old Jamie Jason of Puna.
Stacey Veincent was arrested and charged for the promotion of a dangerous drug in the first degree, possession of prohibited weapons, two counts of ownership/possession prohibited and possession of a firearm with intent to facilitate the commission of a felony. Veincent was also arrested and charged for two $20,000 bench warrants.
Mokihana Veincent was arrested and charged for the promotion of a dangerous drug in the first degree, registration of a firearm, possession of prohibited weapons and possession of a firearm with intent to facilitate the commission of a felony.
Luis was arrested for promotion of a detrimental drug in the third degree and released pending further investigation.
Jason was arrested for promotion of a dangerous drug in the third degree and released pending further investigation.
After conferring with prosecutors, Stacey and Mokihana Veincent were charged for their offenses.
Their bail was set at $200,000 and $22,500, respectively.
