Indictment: Hawai‘i County Fire Battalion Chief Accused of Conspiring With Honolulu Deputy Prosecutor Kealoha

In a document released on Monday, July 9, 2018, Hawai‘i County Fire Department Battalion Chief Jesse Michael Ebersole is outed as the alleged boyfriend of former Honolulu Deputy Prosecutor Katherine Kealoha and accused of conspiring with Kealoha to a federal grand jury about their alleged relationship.

 

The Office of the Fire Chief released the following statement regarding the incident:

“Regarding the recent federal indictment—Battalion Chief Ebersole is a 25 year veteran of the Hawai‘i Fire Department. He was promoted to the position of battalion chief of the Emergency Medical Services Bureau on April 1, 2018. During his career he was directly involved with the savings of many lives. He is currently on paid leave status. As this incident involves federal charges and an open investigation, there will be no further comment from my office.”
