‘Family Fourth’ Celebration at Waikoloa Beach Resort

Looking for something to do on the Fourth of July? A fireworks finale caps off the “Family Fourth” celebration at Waikoloa Beach Resort on July 4, 2018. The free, all-day event features nonstop entertainment, balloon art, carnival games and treats for all ages, from 11:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., at Kings’ Shops, Queens’ MarketPlace and Waikoloa Bowl.

The 4th of July Celebration and Fireworks in Hilo—the “Hilo Bay Blast”—has become a tradition for many families.

The County of Hawai‘i would like to invite the public to attend this alcohol-, drug- and litter-free event coordinated in collaboration with private enterprise, community organizations and government.

This year’s Fourth of July Celebration will feature various activities throughout Tuesday, culminating with the traditional Fireworks Exhibition at 8 p.m. in Hilo Bay.

Annual Fourth of July Parade in Volcano Village

Park rangers will march in the annual Fourth of July Parade outside the park in wonderful Volcano Village. The parade starts at the Volcano Post Office at 9 a.m. and features food vendors, family fun, crafts, keiki games and more on Wednesday, July 4, at 9 a.m.

Kona July 4th Parade & Fireworks over Kailua Bay

Starting at 6 p.m., the 23rd annual Kailua-Kona 4th of July Parade will run along Ali‘i Drive. Fireworks will light up the bay at 8 p.m.

29th Annual Turtle Independence Day Celebration at the Mauna Lani

Mauna Lani has been receiving juvenile honu (Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles) from O‘ahu’s Sea Life Park, and raising the honu in the hotels’ salt water ponds since 1989. The honu are cared for until they grow to a size and weight that are deemed appropriate for release into the wild. This release occurs every July 4th at the ocean’s edge fronting the hotel. On Wednesday, July 4, 2018, the honu will be gathered at 10:30 a.m. from the Honu Ponds and they will be paraded to the beachfront for the release. A welcome ceremony with a hula performance by Halau Malanai will kick-off the event followed by the release. This annual celebration honors the honu and helps educate the public about the Hawaiian green sea turtle. Families are invited to join the celebration!

Hilo Bay Blast Fireworks & Celebrations

Over at the Hilo Bayfront, a Salute to the Veterans 5K will kick off a long day that will also feature a car show and a fireworks presentation at 8 p.m.

56th Annual Fourth of July Rodeo and Horse Races at Parker Ranch

The 56th Annual 4th of July Rodeo and Horse Races is set to be held at Parker Ranch Arena in Waimea. There will be a petting zoo and pony rides for the keiki. Doors open at 7 a.m.
