YCC Applications Now Being Accepted at Pu‘uhonua o Hōnaunau

Pu‘uhonua o Hōnaunau NHP announces they are now accepting applications for its summer Youth Conservation Corps (YCC) program. YCC provides gainful employment and an educational experience in the conservation of our natural and historical heritage.

YCC workers will participate in conservation and preservation related projects park-wide andwork with all park division.

This year’s YCC program will run for a period of six weeks from June 11 through July 20. Applicants for YCC crew member positions must be between the ages of 15 and 18. During the term of employment, you must be at least 15 years of age and not reached the age of 19. Enrollees in the program work 40 hours per week and earn $10 per hour.

Applications must be submitted by June 7, 2018 and may be obtained at the park Visitor Center or Administration Building.
