Flags to Continue to Fly at Half-Staff in Honor of Sen. Akaka

Hawai‘i Gov. David Ige ordered that the United States flag and the Hawai‘i state flag be continued to be flown at half-staff in honor of Sen. Daniel K. Akaka, until sunset on the day of his interment.

Sen. Akaka’s family has scheduled a private burial for Monday, May 21, 2018.

Therefore, the United States flag and the Hawai‘i state flag shall be flown at half-staff at the State Capitol and upon all state offices and agencies as well as the National Guard in the State of Hawai‘i, until sunset on May 21.
