Trail, Area Closures at Kaloko-Honokōhau

Trail and area closures at Kaloko-Honokōhau National Historical Park have been modified for March 2018.

All closures are from 6 to 11 a.m.

ORIGINAL DATE: Friday, March 2: ‘Aimakapā: closure of visitor center, visitor center parking, mauka/makai trail.
MODIFIED: Friday, March 9: ‘Aimakapā: closure of visitor center, visitor center parking, mauka/makai trail and sections of the coastal trail between the Harbor and Aimakapa shoreline.

ORIGINAL DATE: Friday, March 16: Kaloko: closure of Kaloko Road, Kaloko parking area and Kaloko
picnic area.
MODIFIED: Friday, March 23: ‘Aimakapā: closure of visitor center, visitor center parking, mauka/makai trail and sections of the coastal trail between the Harbor and Aimakapa shoreline.

Friday, March 30: ‘Aimakapā: closure of visitor center,visitor center parking area, mauka/makai trail.

The reason for the closure is to provide public safety during the removal of invasive, non-native
vegetation as the park will be using helicopter operations.
