Rep. Gabbard Seeks Entries for Art Competition
Rep. Tulsi Gabbard announced that she is accepting submissions from Hawaiʻi high school artists in the 2nd Congressional District for the 2018 Congressional Art Competition:
“The Congressional Art Competition is a great platform for our students to share their unique perspective and creativity with people across Hawaiʻi and in our nation’s capital, said Rep. Gabbard. “I’m always so impressed by the incredible talent of Hawaii’s young artists, and inspired by the many fine arts educators who encourage our students to participate in activities like this Congressional Art Competition. I look forward to seeing the great pieces that will be submitted this year, and encourage people across Hawaiʻi to join me in supporting all of our talented young artists.”
Rep. Gabbard has hosted the Kaha Kiʻi Art Competition for Hawai‘i’s 2nd Congressional District since 2013.
The deadline to submit artwork to the competition is Monday March 5, 2018. Semi-finalists’ artwork will be hung at the Hawaiʻi State Capitol from Monday April 2 through Saturday, May 12, 2018.
