Make Your Own Mini Orchid Display at VAC
If you’re an orchid hobbyist or someone with a budding orchid addiction you’ll want to join Shelby Smith and Donna Barr from the Hilo Orchid Society for “Build Your Own Mini Orchid Display” workshop on Saturday, Jan. 27, 2018, from 9 a.m. to noon at Volcano Art Center’s Ni‘aulani Campus in Volcano Village.
These two will be on-hand to answer questions and show you some tips, tricks and their orchid know-how.
The workshop will involve education on orchids and designing and building a mini orchid display.
Different categories of mini orchid displays will be covered, including Garden, Flower Arrangement/Cut Flowers/Ikebana and Keiki.
Not only will you learn a thing or two during this workshop, but thanks to the Hilo Orchid Society, you’ll be able to take home an orchid.
Cost for the workshop is $25; $20 for VAC members. Pre-registration is required.
For more information or to register, call VAC at (808) 967-8222 or go online.
