Hawai‘i Island Lane & Road Closures: Jan. 2–5

The State of Hawaiʻi Department of Transportation and the County of Hawaiʻi Department of Public Works have announced the following temporary road and lane closures from Tuesday through Friday, Jan. 2 through 5, 2018.

Lane closure schedules may change at any time without further notice. All projects are weather permitting.

Volcano Road/Māmalahoa Highway (Route 11):

Keaʻau Lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 11) in both directions between Mile Markers 6 and 9 in the vicinity of Kea‘au Pahoa Bypass Road Tuesday, through Friday, Jan. 2 to 5, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for pavement marking.

Pahala Alternating lane closure on Māmalahoa Highway (Route 11) between Mile Marker 53 and Mile Marker 57 Tuesday, through Friday, Jan. 2 to 5, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for pavement reconstruction.

Keaʻau-Pāhoa Road

Puna Intermittent lane closures on Kea‘au-Pāhoa Road (Route 130) between Mile Markers 3 and 4 in the vicinity of Shower Drive Tuesday, through Friday, Jan. 2 to 5, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for the installation of the traffic signal system.
