Wind Advisory for Big Island Through Nov. 27

The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory for the Big Island at 3:41 p.m. HST Sunday, Nov. 26 2017.
The advisory is in effect through 6 p.m. Monday.
Northeast winds at 20 to 35 mph with localized gusts over 50 mph are expected.
Winds will be strongest over and downwind from higher terrain.
Winds this strong can knock down tree branches and lead to localized power outages.

A Wind Advisory means that sustained winds of at least 30 mph, or gusts of at least 50 mph, are expected.
