Hawaiian Business Development Empowerment Workshop
A Hawaiian Business Development Empowerment Workshop will be presented by the Office of Hawaiian Affairs (OHA) on Saturday and Sunday Nov. 25 and 26, 2017, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m on O‘ahu.
This two-day workshop will include relevant information shared by knowledgeable presenters.
The admission fee is free; however, course participants are responsible for their own local travel, meals and other incidentals.
This two-day workshop covers business concepts indispensable for anyone starting up or running a small business. Instructors identify and help participants avoid common pitfalls. The training provides comprehensive information on topics important to aspiring entrepreneurs and small business owners related to business planning, access to capital, basic bookkeeping, human resources, problem solving and marketing a small business.
The subjects for these workshops are as follows, but not limited to:
- Introduction into the federal marketplace
- Business operations
- Teaming fundamentals
- Government contracting
- Staff development
- Succession planning
- Financial management & business financing
- Management information systems/technology
