A new candidate has stepped up to reinvigorate our islands against business as usual, according to a recent press release from Ernest Caravalho.

Caravalho said he looks to uplift and empower the people of Hawai‘i.

The overall themes his campaign will address are:

1. Sustainability
2. Affordability
3. Change toward resiliency in our state and people
4. Business as usual in politics

Moving forward he will make his way to all of the islands in order to communicate and to listen to residents’ concerns.

Caravalho is a member of the Chinatown Lions Club, a board member of the Chinatown Downtown Neighborhood Board, member of the Chinatown Business Community Association and an active member of the Democratic Party.

Caravalho will officially announce his campaign for governor at 10 a.m., Sunday, Sept. 24, at Waimanalo Beach Park on O‘ahu.

Lopaka Brown will perform from 9 to 10 a.m. There will be healthy snacks and drinks available at no cost to attendees. Everyone will have an opportunity to talk with and get to know Caravalho as well as to hear about his vision for Hawai’i.
