He is survived by his wife, Lori Thal; mother Dori Valanos; brother, Robert Robbins; sisters, Karo Wihlidal and Timi Hight; other survivors, Sean Robbins, Kaleo Arruda, Rebecca Mercado and Lance Garnier.

William Kaohu Kahakua Sr., 89, of Mountain View, passed away on June 10, 2017. William was born on Jan. 31, 1928, in Ka’u. Visitation 9 a.m., Mass to follow at 11 a.m. on Thursday June 22, 2017 at St Theresa Catholic Church, 18-1355 Volcano Highway, Mountain View, 96771.
He is survived by his wife,Thelma Kahakua; sons, William (Pamela) Kahakua Sr., Paul (Barbra) Kahakua and George Kahakua Sr.; daughter, Laurie (Michael) Ignacio; brothers, James (Nora) Kahakua, Herbert (Karen) Kahakua and Frank (Rita) Duran; sisters, Julia Amaral, Gladis Wilson, Elizabeth (Chris) Asuncion, Elenore Kepner and Lily (Gene) Mariaga, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mark Scott Hannum, 69, of Waipio Valley, passed away on June 5, 2017. Mark was born on Sep. 22, 1948, in San Mateo CA. Celebration of Life to be held on Saturday June 17, 2017 at Waipi’o Valley Beach, Hawai’i. Service 10 a.m.-Scattering of cremains at 11 a.m., luncheon to follow.
He is survived by daughters, Maile (Guy) Andrade and Naoma Wolfe; daughter in law, Jennifer Hannum and 6 grandchildren.
Ted Anthony Redo
February 24, 1921 – June 1, 2017
Ted Anthony Redo, 96, of Kailua-Kona, was born in Milwaukee, WI on Feb. 24, 1921, and passed away on June 1, 2017 in Holualoa.
Ted was a retired General Motors engineering executive and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He is survived by daughter Sharon Redo of Kapa’au; sons Brian (Cristine) Redo of Biltmore Lake, NC; Allen Redo of Peoria, AZ; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Fernando Belano Baldonado, 60, of Kahului, passed away on June 8, 2017 at Maui Memorial Medical Center. He was born on June 10, 1956 in the Philippines.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at Ballard Family Mortuary, service will begin at 7 p.m. Burial will be held at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at Valley Isle Memorial Park in Ha‘ikū.
Fernando is survived by his wife, Joynabelle Baldonado; son, Fernand Baldonado; daughter, Lorraine Baldonado; sisters, Josephine B. (Jerry) Leano, Lourdes B. Baldonado; and one grandson, Tristan Jacob Garcia.
Herman R.K. Young
June 2, 1953 – June 5, 2017
Herman R.K. Young, 64, of Kahului, passed away on June 5, 2017 at Maui Memorial Medical Center. He was born on June 2, 1953 in Honolulu.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Ballard Family Mortuary, service will begin at 7 p.m., and cremation will follow.
Herman was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was also a musician in the entertainment business.
He is survived by his wife, Jos-Lynne Young; son, Herman R.K. Young II; daughters, Honey R.K. (Kevin) Kahoohanohano, Hauoli R.K. Young, Harmony R.K. Young; brother, Lloyd (Phyllis) Young; sister, Roberta Kaleikini; and three grandchildren, Kevin Kaeo Kahoohanohano, Luke Keoki Kahoohanohano, and Isaiah Kealii Kahoohanohano.
