Looking Ahead
Trade winds are forecast to pick up in strength Tuesday and Wednesday. Clouds and showers will continue to favor windward and mauka spots, but will affect leeward spots from time to time as well. Showers are expected to become more widespread, with locally heavy downpours and thunderstorms possible, from Tuesday night into Thursday as a disturbance moves over the islands. Fewer showers are expected by next weekend.

We expect east winds around 15 mph. High temperatures are forecast from 84° to 89°. Partly sunny skies with scattered windward showers today. Mostly sunny morning for the Kona side with scattered showers in the afternoon and hazy skies.
