A-Bay’s Island Grill to Open for Breakfast

Island Grill at Kings’ Shops will open for breakfast beginning Thursday, June 15, 2017.

Breakfast will be served from 8 to 10:30 a.m. daily.

Menu options will include; Chef Darcy’s famous house-made corned beef hash with eggs made to order over fried rice, Punalu‘u sweet bread orange blossom French toast and A-Bay’s buttermilk pancakes with caramelized bananas and macadamia nuts.

A-Bay’s Island Grill opened last Fall at Kings’ Shops and is open for lunch, dinner, late night food and cocktails, and now breakfast, with a menu that offers “something for everybody” at family-friendly prices.

Options include seafood, tapas, steak, chicken, and sandwiches with all greens and vegetables coming from local farms.

A-Bay’s also utilizes local commercial fishermen, providing locally sourced products and seafood.

“We are excited to add this great new breakfast option to the offerings at Kings’ Shops,” said Lynn Rostau, Kings’ Shops general manager. “A-Bay’s indoor/outdoor venue has been a wonderful addition to the center and we look forward to experiencing their great new breakfast menu.”

In addition, A-Bay’s bar features beer, cocktails and a tropical drink menu. The bar area showcases a monkeypod bar top with 18 seats and has one of only a few Frostrails (a frosted metal rail attached to the bar to keep drinks cool) in Hawai‘i and a first on the Big Island.

The bar also features a 24-tap direct draw beer system focusing on Hawai‘i-based microbreweries. A-Bay’s classic cocktail list compliments the food dishes, and its tropical drink menu will more than satiate the tropical fruit flavor seeker.
