The Hawai‘i County Department of Parks and Recreation will close Kūhiō Kalaniana‘ole Park in Hilo on Saturday, June 3, 2017, and Saturday, June 10, 2017, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The department is working with two volunteer groups to install three new picnic tables and three new benches at the park.

During the two Saturdays, the park will be closed for the preparation and pouring of the concrete pads on which the tables and benches will be installed.

The department appreciates the public’s assistance and understanding.
